The River of My Life

Born and raised in Washington state, I was the youngest of four girls. My parents divorced when I was six leaving my father, a disabled WWII vet as the sole provider and parent. Fast-forwarding to my junior year in high school, I ran away from home and landed in Montana where I met the love of my life, Bill and still reside there.

47 years and counting

We have been married for 47 years, have two children, four wonderful grandkids and have raised seventeen “other” kids. (Oh, and three dogs)I have also been a foster parent, sports coach, Camp Utmost summer camps for kids’ director, and director for Junior High ministries with Rocky Mountain Bible Mission. I am sexual abuse survivor, living with both Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

In the late 1980’s I helped organize and implement sexual abuse training for our public schools both at the city and state levels.  Studying and speaking on sexual abuse, foster parenting, and youth ministry lead me to a closer relationship with Christ. I know first-hand the shame, blame, and guilt we the abused deal with. My life goal is to share the gospel of Christ through the forgiving and healing process that only He can cure.
